LUMS, NUST Higher Education Commission and the Aga Khan University Ranking 2013 dominated

Islamabad: Higher Education Commission (HEC) "standards and research-based classification of 2013" issued on Friday for the university.
HEC Chairman Dr Javaid Leghari ranking universities in international rankings depends on feedback from models that are based on standards.
"These rankings are a reflection should be - they tell universities, their strengths and weaknesses," he said.

Ranks high NUST
National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad and Faisalabad University, respectively, large, medium and small "General Universities" category were ranked the highest.
"HEC rankings for 2013, each university rankings have been nominated only once," explained Leghari.
He said that he wanted to be considered for the category of the selected universities.
For example, NUST general category instead of "Engineering and Technology" chose to classify the categories.
HEC ranking of universities in the 2011-12 academic quality and research, were based on the level of quality assurance processes.
HEC research grants, travel grants and HEC HEC approved PhD supervisor for research were included in the classification criteria, although Laghari emphasized that ranking was conducted objectively said.
