Young and old: Tumblr, Yahoo side by side look at audience


Get a friend's youthfulness compared with the Media Portal looks like a retirement community.

Yahoo! for $ 1.1 billion blogging powerhouse Tumblr 6-year-old has agreed to acquire. The big deal just a week ago is unlikely bedfellows as the two companies, in particular, the Internet has sent a tizzy.

It is a tale of two audiences. Tumblr is a fountain of youth. Yahoo is practically a retirement community. In contrast, 56 per cent in March, Yahoo Visitors are over 35 years old.
Purchase with $ 1.1 billion, Yahoo's chief Marissa Mayer on the future of Yahoo has bought some much-needed insurance.
