Who is SHAHEED? Who is HALAK?

It happens only in Pakistan. The most obvious and significant part of Islam ‘’Shahadat’’ (martyrdom) has come into discussion.I cannot understand the logic behind calling every Mullah on T.V. and taking their views on Shahadat.
All Muslims know the actual meaning of Shahadat as it has been explained magnificently in Holy Quran.

Shaheed(martyr) refers to a person who dies fighting in the way of Allah.We mistakenly call them the dead but Holy Quran forbids us and says that they are actually alive but you not aware of their lives.

It still makes a bit logic that you are calling Hakeem Ullah Mehsood ‘’shaheed’’ because of the abhorrence against USA and it also appeals to a large number of people of Pakistan. But saying that the ‘’Jawaans’’ of Pak Army are just dead and don’t deserve the word martyrdom is unjust.

It is not only our soldiers who are martyred but there are other categories of martyrdom also which have never come into discussion
All Muslims know that the Last prophet,Muhammad (peace be upon him ) said that outstanding Jihaad is to say ‘’Kalma e Haq’’ before a brutal Ruler. So it means that today whoever is criticizing the policies of Govt. without any fear is doing Jihaad and if he dies doing this,then he will also be a Martyr.

Let me tell you the other forms of Jihad.There is also Jihaad that you are doing with your pen by spreading awareness in people about it.It is referred to as Jihaad bil-qalam.Similarly there is also Jihad-bil-maal;supporting jihad with your wealth, Jihaad bil Ilm; supporting Jihad with your knowledge and education.These were the types of Jihad which were a part of our curriculum of 8-th standard.All well-educated people know the types of Jihaad and Shahadat and there is no need of new Fatwa for them.

But the most important Jihaad,after armed fighting for Pakistan, which I have read in the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is to fight against the desires of Flesh.It is a very important part of Islam which helps us to survive in the life.For example if you are living a very simple life inspite of the fact that you can afford a luxury life,fighting against self,then you are also doing Jihaad and if you died doing this you will be Shaheed.

Similarly every person who is busy fighting against his self for good cause is doing a Jihaad. There are millions of doctors,engineers,teachers,government servents etc who can have a better life abroad but still they are serving Pakistan and struggling here,doing a war against their selves which allures them to leave Pakistan ,are doing Jihaad.

It is not only the army that is busy in doing Jihaad but every Pakistani is doing Jihaad for Pakistan and will be Shaheed one day.
