The fantastic yearly spectacle of Macy's Thanksgiving Parade happens on 28thNovember so why not head to New York City, USA and join in the celebrations!
As one of the oldest Thanksgiving Day parades in the United States, it was originally created by Macy department store employees who had recently emigrated from Europe. First taking place in 1924, it was so successful that it turned into an annual event. Today over 3.5 million people attend and over 50 million people tune in to watch the parade unfold.
The 2013 line up for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade is as vibrant as ever, from Cirque du Soleil to Fall Out Boy taking part along with 50 ft balloons and marching bands, there is something for everyone!
Some new balloons are featuring in this year's line-up including SpongeBob SquarePants and there will also be a special tribute to The Wizard of Oz as the film is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
