Pakistan :July 30 presidential elections, the Supreme Court orders

Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Wednesday July 30 with a new schedule for the upcoming presidential elections Pakistan (ECP) Election Commission's directive.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Sheikh Azmat Seeed headed by a three-member bench of the Supreme Court seeking a change, Pakistan Muslim League (N) instead of the application heard on August 6 The presidential elections on July 30.

The court gave a modified schedule with the directives of the Election Commission to hold presidential elections

(A) On July 24 Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta with the presiding officers and presiding officers of each of the filing of nomination papers.

(B) in Islamabad on July 26 at 10:00 by returning officer to examine nominationpapers.

Up to 12:00 noon on July 27 in Islamabad before returning officer candidate (c) return.

(D) Publication of list of nominated candidates validly 5:00 pm on July 27.

(E) On polling day and polling time from 10:00 3:00 pm on July 30.

4. Provincial Assembly Building, Peshawar.

5. Provincial Assembly Building, Quetta.


There is no constitutional barrier for rescheduling elections, Chief Justice whether the AG said. Attorney General of the presidential election held on July 30 there is no constitutional bar to confirm that.
